Indeed I am but I'm also unfamiliar with the initials GDI. I never saw the need to go Greek. It doesn't have much benefit at UT, imo, compared to other schools and I'll be damned if I'm going through dumbass hazing. I'd be down for it IF the greeks went back to more 'we're a kickass mysterious group with kickass rituals muwahhahaa' as opposed to the go through hazing and reap the benefits of getting shitfaced route, especially since you can get into any party and the non-greek parties are just as good, some better these days and it's not much of resume builder anymore.

I could see the appeal at other schools where Greek life matters more and offers more real world benefits, though I still likely wouldn't join a traditional greek society.

Now a Skull & Bones type or even UT's old Scarrabean Society (affiliated w/Skull & Bones) is a whole other issue for me...
