I agree that there will probably be a Cam-inspired amendment to the rules. On the lawyer side, I SERIOUSLY doubt that Auburn's lawyers advised them to take this course of action. This looks MUCH more like an aggressive "business decision" made by the powers that be at Auburn. It is MUCH more likely that the lawyers advised them that, if they wanted to be aggressive and risk more serious sanctions in the future, they could take this position. I suspect that any such advice included a LOT of arse-covering by the lawyers. There is still a very real risk that this ends POORLY for Auburn, and lawyers do NOT like to be on record as having recommended a course of action that comes back to bite a client.
