"It was really exciting," the 6-foot-4, 235-pound Sanders said. "I didn't get to talk to them or anything because I was in the classroom. But we were looking out the window when their Hummer limo was coming down our street.

"It was pretty cool."

An Alabama coach also visited Ariton High School Tuesday.

"They said Coach (Kirby) Smart came by but I didn't ever see him," Sanders said.

You know, I think it's Gay now, but when I was in high school I probably would have thought it was pretty cool to see a college football team limo cruising the parking lot...maybe CPA and his Chizzy coach are on to something.

I think its pretty cheesy, but the AU coaches have to try something to try and turn the momentum.

I think Sanders is a good player and I hope we get him. I feel like we are slow playing him though, like we have bigger fish out there. I believe this to be a mistake.

Also, I'm sure the NCAA is going to stick their nose in here somehow and come up with a rule against doing this type of thing next year. Much like the Saban "bump" rule.

To 17-18 year olds it probably does look cool. At least they ditched the original limo. This isn't the prom.
