This is not correct re "Rammer Jammer"
"Rammer jammer, Yellow Hammer, give em hell Alabama!" was a chant used at least as far back as when I was in school at Bama in the 70s. My understanding is the chant went all the way back to the 20s

Florida was the first school to do that Go Gators. They were chanting that when I was a freshman at LSU back in 1968. Other SEC schools picked up that chant years later. If I'm not mistaken, Ga.Tech is the only school in the ACC that uses that chant.

Every year after a game we win you can hear the hotty toddy "we just beat the hell outta you" in the background, and someone will start a thread saying "since when does Ole Miss do the rammer jammer cheer"
Last year, an Alabama fan started one of said threads.
Sigh

I love how original bodda getta is and how Bama just stole some cheer.
