I don't know about 'super powers',but Cincinnati and Rutgers ,in particular, are sleeping giants. Rutgers is up in Metro New York with tons of recruits within 100 miles.

Cincinnati is in the midst of some fertile HS ball and only so many can go to Ohio State. Still,Cincinnati striving for 8-9 win seasons is more realistic. The MAC has started playing better football and Kentucky down the road recruits the area since Ky HS football is so-so with not nearly as many schools playing big time HS football.

Cincinnati went 7-5 against the toughest schedule in the country two years ago. The sky's the limit for them in a very winnable conference.

Nick Saban is the most overrated gameday coach in all of football!

I agree. He will recruit major talent and then they will hire a monkey to win the NC with it.

Cincinnati last year went 10-3 against the 56th hardest rated schedule. Hell... Alabama-Birmingham had a harder schedule.

BTW - LSU went 12-2 against the 13th hardest rated schedule.
