So now the number of people going into bars in your town affects whether your football team plays?

Well, that can contribute heavily to widespread community spread of a novel virus, and if there's a spike in cases in Tuscaloosa in a couple of weeks, it puts the games in jeopardy. It's been established in several other communities that bars are a problematic venue for spread.

FWIW, I didn't have a problem with the kids in line outside the bar without a mask on. Spread of the virus outdoors doesn't seem to be a huge problem. The owner of one of the bars posted a rant on Facebook last night that a mask was required to enter the bar, and that they had limited capacity to 25% of its max occupancy.

The fact this is being decided over number of cases and not hospitalizations is asinine.

It's all part of their plan to cancel.

These people are morons if they actually thought college kids would mask up and isolate

Or, maybe there is a reason why they pushed the start of the season until the end of September, and any spikes that may occur as students go back to school have a good chance of being over by then.

It was never fricking about that.

The data in Midwest states is drastically different than the south. They are low on positive, hospitalization, deaths and still cancelled.
