It happened 15 years ago. It's irrelevant at this point.
That'd be almost as sensical as Ole Miss fans saying "well at least we've been to the Sugar Bowl, that's one thing State can't say," despite our last trip to the Sugar Bowl being in the early 1970's.

You guys are funny-this will be settled in Starkville. One other thing-State had 5 seniors playing against Auburn last night-lots of youth on this team.

We played five seniors against Texas, with only one on defense.

Dan Mullen has never beaten a ranked opponent besides Ole Miss in his first season. Also, Dan Mullen has never beaten an SEC team that has a winning record, besides Ole Miss. That season was the beginning of Houston Nutt's decline
