Was at Bama ATM this year. Arguably their biggest home game in their history.
Atmosphere/set up/everything was rather underwhelming. I'd say it is a lot like Auburn, just uglier. LSU /ole miss/Bama are all miles ahead of college station.

Never had this problem, nor do i go to bars to tailgate. Im also typically pretty respectful and keep my drink in a solo cup and have never had a problem. I've found the cops to be no different there than anywhere. They're not out to get you and can even trade light hearted banter if you're so inclined.
Obviously I disagree with you and think tailgating in Oxford is one of the better tailgating experiences.

Ohio state is a joke... Their tailgate in a huge parking lot outside the stadium. That's it. Their stadium is in the middle of downtown. No scenery

One of the top Universities in Tailgating, Game Day Experience, half a billion in Stadium upgrades, Head Coach everybody wants, Heisman QB. The Aggies support their team. Can you imagine when we actually start winning something? SEC, BSC Championships

That's like saying Louisianans aren't known for their spanish heritage. Sure, they speak cajun, put those french flowers on everything, and live in swamps... but they still have that Spanishness to them.
Just because things are more prevalent and well known at A&M, like being academically superior to everyone in the SEC but Vandy, sending more soldiers in World War 2 than anyone else(and more than the service academies combined), the loudest stadium in the SEC, being the first public University in the greatest state in the Union, etc. etc.... doesn't mean we don't have the best tailgating as well.
