I think both Tubbs and Tennessee were extremely disappointed when Tubberville accepted the job at Texas Tech a week before Kiffin left for USC. Tubberville would have been a perfect fit at Tennessee.

Also, someone earlier mentioned that Auburn was still trying to get rid of Tubberville's bad recruiting or some other such nonsense. Weren't MOST of the players on last year's championship team recruited by Tubs? Certainly, the most underrated aspect of last year's team, that great O-line that Auburn had, was recruited by Tubberville, right?
