I understand and don't wish to have a homer for a beat writer but I would also appreciate one whose sole purpose is not to piss off our athletic department. You think one reporter is allowed to ask Saban a question that Saban can't stand? You can be a professional unbiased beat writer without being a douche

I've never really read much of his stuff, but I do know he pissed off a bunch of our fans recently. I think he misreported some key facts during the Will Redmond saga.

He and many others took everything DeVinner said as Gospel when any 6 year old could google DeVinner and see that a psycho was driving much of that situation. At least a little objectivity would be nice.
