Didn't urban Myer try to get a kid from California and the guy wouldn't come because he didn't want to leave his girlfriend. And then a week or so later he got the girl a full ride track scholarship. And now both of them are at Florida? Scoop, I didn't mean to jump on you last night, but I know a women that was treated badly, and I took it the wrong way.

I don't know if they apply or not. I'm assuming since its nick's money he can give to anyone he wants. I don't see anything wrong with it as long as its not given to a football player.

I don't know the terms and there may be nothing to it; however, it does seem quite coincidental if it isn't for a great academic resume or athletics. I am not saying it is something to scream over, but if you don't think it seems somewhat strange that the scholarship funded by Nick Saban's money went to a big recruit's GF you are dumb.

Actually Saben is a smart SOB. Start or donate to a scholarship fund for poorer, minority, or first generation Bammer students. Recruit has a girlfriend who fits those qualifications and there you go. Slick. Most recruits are going have a girlfriend, brother, cousin, ect who is going to fit into that box.

I'm dumb if I don't think its strange? If by strange you mean brilliant, then yes it is the strangest thing I've ever seen. Why don't yall get your overpaid coaches to do the same? Hell its a million dollars, I'm sure there is more than one person getting it.

Has saban ever been in trouble with the NCAA? frick no. Do you think the NCAA watches him and bama like a hawk? frick yes. If I'm not mistaken, means didn't get a dime, his greedy arse coach did. And young wasn't the only one that paid him, Georgia gave him money as well.

Michigan State was also one of the schools who offered Albert Means money. Do any of you Bammers want to guess who Michigan State's coach was at the time they offered money to Albert Means?

Negative I've read several articles on it and there were several SEC schools mentioned but nothing about Michigan state. Again means didn't get money, his coach did. And yes, auburn has been on probation more than anyone else.

wrong Calhoun. when saban found out Lang wanted cash for means, he stopped recruiting him. after saban left mich stt. Lawing went back to Lang and said they now had a coach who would play ball. saban was gone at that point.

I heard Saban gave Means's girlfriend a full ride to Mich St as part of the Lollipop Guild memorial Fund Scholarship.

Bammer, Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Michigan State are the schools Lynn Lang claimed offered him money in return for Albert Means.
A guy named Brad Lawton was an assistant coach at Michigan State at the time. He was one of the witnesses called during Logan Young's trial in Memphis. Michigan State was definitely involved in the Albert Means mess.
Bammer was put put on probation for the following things in the Albert Means case: Paying Albert Means $150,000, offering Kenny Smith an incentive package worth $120,000, hiring exotic dancers to entertain high school recruits, and boosters giving $100 handshakes to football players. Auburn's probations are minor compared to those things

Bobby Williams is currently the tight end coach at Bammer under Saban. Thanks for admitting that one of Bammers assistant coaches is a cheater
