Byron Jones isn't qualified academically for a SEC school at this point, hasn't made the grade on his ACT, so he has to viewed as a sign and place

Byran.

And maybe not. But if all he lacks is ACT, he still has at least 6 months to make the score. And if not then he is Hargrave bound. But our coaches are not taking too many sign and place kids, so they must think he will probably qualify.

Yes, I know it is Byran, just typed it wrong. From what I have been told he has failed to make the score needed in several tries. He also seems to want to stay close to home, La Tech looks to be favored, but Dooley leaving could be bad depending on the replacement. Gus would be a grand slam hire for them I think.

If sounds like Ark has backed off of Byran a bit, we are very tight on spots and can't afford a maybe qualifier

There is no way he would pick LaTech over Auburn.

And if our coaches got Tyrik to qualify, they will probably get Jones. We need some of the Alabama qualification standards.

I know LA Tech seems crazy over any SEC school, but this kid seems to be heartbroke that LSU didn't offer and is really big on LATECH. I don't understand it, but folks close to his family believe that is a very likely place for him to end up.

Whomever gets him will get a good kid and a good football player

AND...Junction City is about 30 minutes from Ruston. You're right, why would any kid pick Tech over an SEC school? Maybe someone should ask Miss St...

I'm a diehard SEC fan too, but this arrogance over a 3 star DT is a little ridiculous. Auburn didn't appear too much better than Tech going into the 4th quarter of their game this year...just saying.

Ruston is a hour away.

Jones is a 4star and a strong as an ox.

And again there is no way he would choose LaTech over Auburn. The SEC is a pipeline to the NFL.

And you were not "just saying" you were attempting an underhanded jab at us. And we were leading by 10 going into the 4th qt of that game.
