I understand what you are saying but I am all for the govt doing whatever is neccassary to protect Americans, and if that means some people who have information on the people who want to do Americans harm get tortured, then I feel that is what has to happen to keep us safe.

Though I respect your opinion, I disagree. It is the Government's job to protect the people. I understand that. Maybe torture is necessary. However, people not acknowledging waterboarding for what it is (torture). Don't know jack shite. It is one thing to say that the government is doing what it needs to do to protect us. It is a completely different thing to justify it.
I think it is a lot like goin' hoggin'. You do it because you are helping a buddy out and playing wingman. That's legit. You look like an idiot when you try to defend it though.
