In honor of the Auburn Miracle season, today's throwback player of the day is cam newton.
Cam Newton attended the Auburn University for a single season his senior year. Newton started the first game of Auburn's 2010 season, a home win over Arkansas State on September 4, 2010. Newton accounted for 5 total offensive touchdowns and over 350 yards of total offense. Many call this his "break out game." He never looked back from there. Cam Newton led the tigers to win after win taking down each opponent with ease.
His final regular season game came in the Iron bowl in Tuscaloosa Alabama against the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Tide had cruised to a 24 point lead. Then, Cam got down to business. He passed for 216 yards with three passing touchdowns and ran for another. He took down alabama 28-27 and cruised past the SEC championship to face Oregon in the national championship. There, the tigers brought Auburn to a national championship title.
Newton received the Heisman Trophy award, The Walter Camp, The Maxwell, The manning, and the Davy O'brian Trophys. Cam was selected as the 1# pick in the 2011 NFL draft by the Carolina Panthers. He is currently the franchise's starting Quarterback.

Okay how many heads would explode in Alabama and Georgia (that have not already exploded) if:
1) Saban announces he's going to Texas,
2) Auburn beats FSU... on a miracle play
3) Cam Newtons Panthers win the Super Bowl.
