Now that bama lost to Goldilocks for everyone to see, and Georgia got eviscerated by Texas last week on primetime, I have to worry for the brand of our beloved SEC? I mean I know we still have our own network but shite Texas has a network all to themselves..... I believe truly the only chance for the SEC to step back up into glory is with the success of a David program over bama’s Goliath....... is Texas A&M the next man up? I believe the twelfth man can slay bama and Climson next year, so that the SEC can reclaim its title as the best CFB program from the Big 12

The SEC will be fine, but the Bama model is slowly being eroded away. It worked for a while, but the way to beat it is just have a stingy red zone defense that plays harder the further you get down the field. Eliminate big plays altogether and then have an offense to compliment it that's balanced.

I've always said that the biggest problem with that offensive model is that it relies on having so few mistakes that these players very often can't have one or two without serious complications to it. It's worked for a long time, but just look at every single team that's beaten Alabama since 2011 (I think). They have all been spread offenses from the shotgun, the only one that beat them that didn't run a spread was LSU.

It's just a fundamentally better concept, which is why Clemson has beaten Alabama two out of the last three years despite having a talent disadvantage.
