Hell Florida didn't even start playing football until 1990. Before then they were everybody's homecoming game.

Actually they were UGA's bitch. Prior to 1990, UF had arrived at the WLOCP still in contention for the SEC Championship 17 times. They were 0-17 in those games. Most devastating of which was coming in ranked AP #1 in 1985 and losing to UGA 24-3.

I'm curious to see this.
You bring up 85 but we were ineligible to win the SEC that year.

No it doesn't. As long as the rest of the college football world has such shitty conferences, the SEC benefits most from the 2017 scenario where Georgia and Alabama didn't play in the regular season. 2018 shows that meeting otherwise will result in a team left out.
