I would like to see a list that adjusted for standard of living. That makes a huge difference. For instance, I probably make 30% more then I would doing the same job in a different city even in the same state, but my cost of living is a lot more as well.



Most large companies and Government Jobs have locality pay as part of their salary scale.

Which goes to the point that viewing the information the way it is presented is misleading

I don't believe it! I graduated from USC and I make more than the list. Plus I'm under 30 so it's just going to go up!

I'm surprised it isn't higher for A&M with all that we commission.

At age 34, an officer is likely a Major or at least a senior Captain

Assume 10-14 years in and base pay ranges from $6,271 - $7,648 monthly plus incentives (BAH, BAS, etc.).

Base pay numbers are based on the 2018 pay scale.

Interestingly enough, due to inflation a Captain's base pay at 10 years today is very close to a Major's pay at <10 years in 2010.
