Since people have said Bowl Records Matter
I’ve been saying for years that bowl games are a great barometer in evaluation a coach’s ability because both teams usually have several weeks to prepare for what the other team does and time to install some new things as well.
I will admit that sometimes there are obvious mismatches like the Ole Miss – TT game last year as evident by the very poor showing of the Big 12 in the rest of their bowl games. Nonetheless, bowl games are a very good indicator of just how good a coach is and over the years one of the very best at getting his team ready to play in bowl games is Joe Pa at PSU. One of the worst is Houston Nutt and that trend will continue when he gets his players in place instead of O’s recruits.

The recruiting services unanimously say that Houston signed a better class than O ever did while at Ole Miss. And before you go spouting off about signing 37, these services only count the top 25 signees.......but i'm sure that you'll choose to overlook that again.

This "obvious" mismatch was in regards to TT's prolific pass offense matching up with the smallest secondary probably in the entire SEC......a secondary recruited by Coach O. And the horrible Houston Nutt made the decision to move WR Marshay Green to DB and ended up being the Defensive POTG.....
.....yea....he sucks at coaching.
