You've heard more of his stuff than I have, so I'll defer to you. BTW, Muscle Shoals is far and away the most underrated music town in the country. Not even close. Some of the best music in the past five years has come from MS.

True... I actually didn't know the assassin was a cover(cause he is the only one ive heard do it) and pancho and lefty is great, but not sure he still plays that.

Isbell is awesome and all, but TVZ he is not. TVZ is one of the greatest artists of this past century, and I'm not only referring to music artists. Just art in general. What he could do with a pen, paper, and his guitar are no different than what Michelangelo could do with his stone and chisel.

One of the live versions of that song is hilarious. He tells the story that made him write the song. It had me nearly rolling in the floor the first time I heard it.
