I've never heard of it. Where is it? When did it open?

In the strip with Rebel Rags. Been open for a handful of months now.

There's another one just opened in Tupelo. Pretty sure it's a Starkville-based joint.

It is in the same complex as Rebel Rags. Where Quiznos use to be. It's okay...but it's nothing special. Kind of expensive.

My favorite place to eat in Oxford is Old Venice. Love the Crawfish Pasta.

Not to be a snob, but that's just terrible. It's a fricking chain for gods sake.

Im slowly reading over the 100 improvements and I notice they are adding a Fry stand for fried foods such as chicken tenders. I dont understand why they dont put local food establishments inside the stadium. If youre going to offer chicken tenders then why not have Oxford's own Abners serve them. If youre going to serve BBQ why not offer Memphis' Corky's. If we're going to serve sweet tea, why not offer Oxfords own McAllisters. Not only would we be promoting Oxford orignal resturants, but whats better than Abners tenders? Whats better than McAllister's tea? Surely not whats in VHS.

This. Hell a McAllister's sandwich vendor would be awesome as well. But the tea they serve in the stadium is kind of weak.

It really just all depends on A: how much their bid is and B: if they even have the equipment and capitol to supply such an event.

But I'm positive that we don't sign on a food company without first sampling their food. I could be wrong though because I don't have anything to back that up. I just think that's something incredibly stupid to do. Wouldn't put it past them in years past, but they seem to have gotten their shite together.

Im not saying the food in VHS is bad, or is going to be bad. Hell it could be just as good as Corky's, McAllisters, and Abners (doubt it), but I just think that really helps the city and would please our fans knowing we are helping not only MS companies, but Oxford companies. Hell could you imagine if Old Venice sold pizza in VHS. Nothing special or crazy just your basics, but that shite would sell.

I mean I like it fine, but it doesn't hold a candle to some of Oxford's best. Can think of at least 10 better restaurants in Oxford.

Nothing beats the Philly Cheese Steak that I got in 2009. A hoagie bun with roast beef and nacho cheese.

FWIW, I completely agree and have been wanting the same.

But it is one hell of an endeavor for a company to be a vendor at an event like this.

Greatest Philly I've ever had is at a tiny joint in Tupelo on McCullough Blvd named Knights Diner.
