I got burn out on AJAX. It's good...but it seems like they changed stuff up from my freshman-senior year.

I dont think its good at all. Besides their pizza its just average dishes. The best thing about Old Venice is the base to the Burgundy room

I heard rumors for the past year now that Huey's wanted to put a restaurant on the Square. That would do awesome business I think.

No... I'm from Memphis and I like Hueys, but it wouldn't survive.

Think about it...Oxford doesn't really have a hamburger place besides fast food. It would do really good.

I've always thought a hamburger place would do well in Oxford. We do have several places that offer very good hamburgers, but none that specilized in them. Roosters and Irie's both have about 10 different kinds of hamburgers and they're pretty good, but they arent really known as "burger joints". And if Irie's is surviving Huey's could survive.

Im suprised Mug shots hasnt made a run at Oxford. They're doing very well in Jackson now and have locations in both Starkville and Hattiesburg. A new burger joint opened in Ridgeland a year ago called "Burgers and Blues". Its one of "Cool Al's" spots and is pretty good. I think Hueys would have to improve its bar scene and offer live music if it were to survive on the square. Burgers and Blues would do well on the square.

I'd imagine Irie will fold up shop soon. It amazes me every day they stay open.

Yeah, but they arent "burger joints". I know it sounds dumb, but people flock to specilized resturants. Just because Ajax has good chicken strips doesnt mean people dont flock to Abners.

A few of my good friends work in there, and one manages. I ate there 3 times during the MSU series. I think it is ten times better than Chipolte and I will be back.
