The #1 funny thing about this is that you don't realize how far down the ladder college football is outside the south and parts of the midwest.
The #2 funny thing is that many of you are southern exceptionalists yet when we start talking about yet another sport that is much more popular in the south than other parts of the country and all the sudden you're all northeastern liberals quoting hockey attendance stats

Please tell me more about the popularity comparison between college baseball and college football on a local, regional, and national scale. Perhaps begin with television contracts. ABC pays around 90 million a year for the Rose Bowl alone.
