This. It's probably my only complaint about Saban. If we are going to be playing a shitty schedule with only 2 or 3 big games a year, we need to have 2 big time out of conference games a year. That's what USC used to do. And yes, Saban does have the power to influence the schedule. I can understand his philosophy of why should we if no one else will, but still...

Thanks for fulfilling the Auburn stereotype. Post more. It makes our trash fans not look so bad.

14-1 with the loss coming against Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, or Florida.
Bama seems to perform best when the expectations are a little lower. Both 2010 and 2013 came in as preseason number one, but couldn't get it done. This year Bama has something to prove because of the way last year ended. Don't underestimate how much the intangibles factor in to being a championship team.

You fulfilling an AU stereotype has nothing to do with your prediction. It's that you seem much more concerned about Alabama than your own team.

We played Florida State in 2007, a Top 10 Clemson team in 2008, a Top 10 Virginia Tech team in 2009, Penn State in 2010 & 2011 (they were still good when they were put on the schedule), a Top 10 Michigan in 2012, and Virginia Tech in 2013 (they had just appeared in the Sugar Bowl when we put them on the schedule). We're also playing West Virginia in 2014. When we added them they had just crushed Clemson in the Orange Bowl.
There is no way to predict how good teams are going to be 2-3 years down the road. Every single year Saban has been here we have played at least one major team from a major conference.

I'd mark it as a tossup. Both defenses will be good, but we don't know what to expect of the offenses. Special Teams could be the deciding factor, and there are unanswered questions on that side of the ball for both teams too.

Great point. You don't know who will be great the next season, yet alone 2 or 3 years down the road. However, it would have been nice if Alabama had scheduled Oregon, Oklahoma, or Florida State. They've been okay the past few years; I think they would have been a safe bet.

Florida at home is the least of our worries. They still have no offense and their defense has key losses. At home, Bama should be 10 points better. Upsets happen but that's not a loss people should be picking based on logic. 10-2 and if Coker is legit 11-1.
