While I somewhat disagree with the number of lives lost over potential play in CFB (especially with fans - lord what a brazen idea at this stage in the game), the college's ability to withstand a liability lawsuit, or worse, jeopardize the amateur status of its 95% discounted labor force on the field, were what killed this season. In order to protect both interests, there was no choice. One death, one suit, is too many. We wouldn't play football if each conference averaged a death a season. This isn't the 1980s NASCAR.

As for trying to argue the facts about COVID - heed the advice of Mark Twain: "Do not argue with stupid people. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."
