bigtime schools WON'T give him a HC job right away.....probably for a good while. He may, however, get a good OC job. Most bigtime schools are a little more careful about turning the keys over to a guy with his character issues

Soooooooo way to agree with everything I said.

lol...lot of young gullable kids on here that really don't see the bigger picture in all of this. They remind me of the tenn fans that have a mancrush on kiffin still.

...and what exactly do you see as being the "bigger picture" in all of this? Just curious...

I'm probably older than you.

And you seem to be suggesting that while most intelligent people won't fall for this "act", university presidents will.

This interview is not going to help him get a job. FACT

Arky fans were told was a douche he was they just chose to ignore it and laugh it off, Look what he did to UL look what he did to the failcons, it was just a matter of time before he fricked arky, it's his character, it's what he is made of.

You tried to use commas in good spots. But then you butcher the word falcon.

I think he was making fun of the falcons.

FAILcons? Get it? Hilarious.

But when people like yourself claim to believe him, don't you think most AD's that need a proven head coach will "believe" him too? I'll be the first to admit that I'm too cynical. But at the same time, I just don't see, Arkansas fans excluded, why anyone could believe him based on his past lies for pure career gain?

I'm guessing he's a Saints fan and that was intentional...or do I need to take the old sarcasm meter out for adjustment?

I think the Falcons are a pretty legit organization.

Ironic how home depot has the lead commercial before the Internet clip.

AD's are going to care (a little) about if he has a stable family life. It's not an issue of believing him. It's an issue of simply observing his life and deciding for yourself.

I just said a minute ago that this isn't going to affect his career. I don't understand how this is for career gain.

Because he wants to coach again as a head coach and has said as much. And I don't think he wants to be relegated to Texas El Paso but would rather have a job at a high profile place. This interview furthers that goal and makes him more palatable if he's truly remorseful. I'm just not buying it. Everything he has done up to this point in his career is predicated upon lying for career gain and so it would be dumb of me to actually believe him. I think a school wants to win more than they care about his problems. This interview gives them both cover when certain factions of a fanbase question such a hire.

True. But on the other hand, if Arthur Blank is still harboring resentment toward BP, that would be a poor reflection on his character as well. Who knows?

He lost his job. His wife, his kids, and the whole world knows he had an affair. How could he not be remorseful?

You don't think he wishes he hadn't done what he did?

He will bounce back pretty fast. In reality, a lesser known coordinator who has never been involved in a scandal is much more likely to commit a scandal when the power comes as a HC than a veteran who has already made a huge mistake and knows first hand how harsh the consequences are.

I would hire him in a heartbeat if I were the AD at UT or UK. He wins big and the odds of him doing anything like this again are very very low.

Maybe that he was caught.

I think he wishes he wasn't caught. I think the immediate interview after the incident provides that he was willing to lie to everyone until it became impossible to do so. His first reaction was to lie for self and career gain and waited four months to provide an interview right before the college football season starts. Sorry, not buying it dude.

This interview makes me lose even more respect for the piece of shite. I hate ut when they act like they really have it together now after four months. He talked about his wife and his religion, what a bunch of bullshite.

I would respect him more if he would have just said, she strapped that yhoung pussy on me like a gas mask and it was more than I could take but it was more than I could take.

I fell pray to the power of the puss but I have had my fill of fricking young pussy and I am ready to come back and coach.

frick him. This interview is the first step in trying to get his job back. Arkansas is going to forgive him and he will be the coach there next year. He is probably calling the shots right now through his brother.

He'll land somewhere and be successful. Not sure where that will be. I'm sure Arkansas wants him back, as evidence from this thread. And I'm sure many other schools are willing to give him another shot and believe that he is truly remorseful for getting caught.

If this season is a wreck for Arkansas I think it's likely they'll cave and hire him again.
