Wait, so you could buy it cold on every day except Sunday before? Or was it never cold? Did the store owners have to take all of the beer out of the coolers before in order to sell it on Sunday?! I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS

No sunday sales (only on specific sundays and then only at restaurants) and no cold beer ever.

Beer was just sold like any other supermarket item, at room temperature on a shelf. What's funny is that they allowed chilled wine and liquor to be sold, but not beer.

I was in Oxford in 2011 for a game weekend but I didn't go on a booze run. I imagined all these poor supermarket workers taking beer put of the freezers on Saturday night or Sunday morning

That's definitely a funnier mental picture than the reality of it.

My favorite "no Sunday sales" quirk was how, at Wal-Mart, they would actually rope off the beer aisle on Sundays...

...and they sold cold kegs there, now that I think about it. So the law must have been written in a way where things like kegs could be sold cold but not individual bottles or cans (in cases, six packs, or otherwise).

But oh noes, someone is gonna drink one cold beer on the way home (which is legal in MS I might add).

Holy shite, I looked it up and you are right. MS has no open container law in a vehicle.

Implement affirmative action in athletics like they have in academics. The number of starters of any race is determined by the racial makeup at large.
