I have a high school senior... this week, he received some promo material from Miss St. They are starting to pursue out of state HS seniors and are giving some tuition bucks to attract those with good grades. Basically they laid it out where he could attend Miss St for the same of less money that attending Auburn in-state.

If he wants to go to either of those, he'll have to get a job as a pizza delivery guy or something because I won't pay for that crap.

Last time I checked, the websites for both schools had tuition in the $6500 range. No big deal. Just was curious why Mississippi St was considered poor when there wasn't a real difference in sticker price.

Ole Miss is old money. MSU is new money. Not a universal truth -- but it's the stereotype.

There's also a general difference in presentation between a millionaire farmer -- and a millionaire lawyer -- if you catch my drift

That's a fair enough comeback. But no, he work for a year or two at Zaxby's. In today's world of teen apathy and low employment, I'm just glad he was able to get a job and put some money back.

A lot of kids these days think they're too good for those type jobs in HS. Kudos to the parent.
