I did not know this.

The video board is further back than most think. You could technically tear down those bleachers and bowl it in and still add another 10-12 rows....which is all that would be needed in that endzone anyway.

I dont believe this at all.

youre telling me we could bowl in the NEZ entirely and add top rows like Auburn does? Get out of here...

Go walk behind that NEZ. You would be surprised. It's a good 20-25 yards behind those bleachers.

We don't need to go as high as Auburn. I think it would be in the best interest if they just bowled it in and built a plaza on top with concessions, bathrooms, Rebel Shop, etc. Give it the Tampa Bay look. Doing it like that....you can get up to 70,000 easily.

I mean I have and I agree it is farther back than the pictures indicate, but it hurts my brain just looking at the pictures and imagining a complete bowl.

We could probably bowl it in and have it at the same level as the east and west side until it gets to the jumbotron, and then use way less rows there. That way the jumbotron would fit in the space like a puzzle piece.

It's kinda hard to explain, so I hope you're following.

But it's still just another temporary fix, just like our whole stadium, and probably something that won't look good down the road.

I just don't know how feasible moving the jumbotron is.

Now I did hear that it is built to be moved easily. Don't know how that is....I guess they have their ways.

It's really a Decepticon hiding in plain sight. It can move itself as it pleases.

So, if y'all don't go to a bowl and lose to State for third year in a row, does Boone pay the $6M, piss off a majority of fans, start a coach search ... or stand pat (and pay the additional $2M for not extending the contract)?

Ole Miss CAN'T keep firing coaches every 3 or 4 years. That would be the dumbest thing if Ole Miss did that. If that is what we will get the reputation of....we won't get nobody to come in and coach the program.

So, you keep him ... do you pay the $2M or extend his contract after a losing season?

Isn't there a rule that a coach can only be contracted up to 3 years at a time in the state of Mississippi. If so, then they probably gave him a 5 year extension after 2009, but did it to match rules...so they just extend it after every year up till 2014. That's my guess.
