FUN FACT: The Confederate bureaucracy was larger than the Union bureaucracy.

I hate those snobby academic types with their facts and book learning. They think that is actually superior to common sense and gut feelings about things. That is the kind of stuff they advocate in the People's Republic of Austin.

I don't see why you're responding to such an obvious troll.

Hell, we didn't even have shoes much less bureaucracy. We still would have whupped those liberal, big government loving yankee's if we just had more bullets.

When I was there we voted the cartoon character Opus in as Colonel Reb. (University threw it out saying had to be registered student despite the fact we paid his tuition) What does this prove? Students probably just tired of being kicked around on all this shite, and has nothing to do with racism. (The Colonel Ackbar mascot voted was also ignored I understand)

It is a well established fact that Ole Miss has a racist past. But all this Political correctness does nothing to address that. And the only people that seem to say Ole Miss is still racist are the bubba's at Mississippi State, and a lot of those good ole boys are about as friendly to African Americans as your local klan leader.

Kids today are less racist that at any time in our nation's history.

It is time to move on and begin to address the real problems facing poor African American families as well as poor whites, like a crappy public education system in much of the country, constant crime, the ridiculous price of a college education, and lack of opportunity and upward mobility.

We are now number one in the world in lack of upward mobility by a wide margin, which means if you parents are wealthy you have the least chance of success here than any industrial country in the world. Aka if you are born poor you are going to stay poor.

Some American dream.....
