It could be that and I wouldn’t put it past him. Or it could be exactly what the Ole Miss beat writers have been saying. Someday we will know when he wants us to know.

Hard to tell what he has contributed and what has exploded beyond his control.
At the end of the day, he is a man. He will and deserves to make the decision he feels fits him best.
I'm sure he'd love a chance to coach through the playoffs. We will see if it happens and how he potentially handles being a lame duck at Ole Miss with a new thing on the horizon.
In any case, is it really a reason to "hate" the guy? I don't think it is. Relationships sometimes don't work out or better opportunities emerge to meet one's personal and professional happiness. Don't be the scornful witch in the divorce. Find a way forward before you burn it all down is what I'd recommend.
