I predicted USC would beat Bama back in 2010 and was laughed at...but I understand college football and I also knew Spurrier. Back in 2009 Bama beat USC pretty bad and Spurrier wanted revenge (there was home & home back then in 2009)...but the main reason I predicted a W for USC was that Bama had lost a lot of talent off the 2009 NC team.
Back then Bama hadn't quite reached the juggernaut recruiting machine they would become and now when they suffer loss of talent there are 2 more AA high school talents waiting their turn.
And of course AU won the NC in 2010 instead.

What? I said our game wasn’t “extremely close” last year.
Spurrier did have a big advantage over richt, and y’all also had guys like Clowney and shaw and lattimore.
