Ok did Freeze bring the starting defense or leave them in Oxford?

There are rumblings that starting DE CJ Johnson, starting DT's Issac Gross and Woodrow Hamilton, starting safety Trae Elston, and cornerback Wesley Pendelton are all being held out of the game and not evens making the trip with bumps and bruises to get them ready for the Egg Bowl and make sure they aren't more banged up. Freeze does get a 200K check if he beats the Dogs next week is it true?
What say ye? Smart or chicken shite move? What would other sec schools think of their coach pulled such a stunt? Basically tanking a game on the schedule. And LSU is supposed to be the Bears real rival.

I saw reports earlier in the week about this and was a little disappointed but it would take more than those guys to beat lsu.

All it was was McCready speculating. Freeze said nothing of this. All Neil did was say how it could be a smart move to not bring players who are at 80% when we probably wouldn't win if they were 100%. Save them and let them heal for the egg bowl. For most teams they wouldn't play these hurt kids because there is suppose to be someone behind that hurt player who is better if the 1st string is injured. It's just not the case this year for us.
Alas all state fans want us to play our injured players because they don't want us at 100%. Thus the point of this thread and others on the subject started by state fans. Dey scurred

Serious as a heart attack. If be pissed as Hell at Mullen if he sat players that were available to play. At this poot in the season everyone has bumps and bruises. But I won't to try to win every game. I hope you are 100 percent next week. Should be a good game. This years bear team is actually playing with heart and Freeze has done a good job. That's why this rumor didn't make sense. When was the last time the egg bowl actually meant something. I'm looking forwards to it.

Well according to State posters on here, that's what Mullen did in 5 of the first 7 games.
