That is simply not true at all. I knew Leach was in poor health before anybody else in the clubhouse even mentioned Leach and health in the same sentence. I thought he may have had cancer and started talking to a couple of people just trying to fish for info about recent doctor visits, treatments, etc. No one knew jack shite, period.
Arnett was definitely not expecting to become HC, lol. He honestly didn't even want it, but had to roll with it like he did because you can't turn that opportunity down and be seen in public the next day. Not if you're him. He acted like a boy scout at a Mexican whorehouse when he took the job. He was even visibly buzzed when speaking at a BC NIL fundraising dinner. He was lost. The whole debacle must have fricked him up, hence the reason he's still an analyst, with FSU i believe.
Arnett was a great DC though. Which is why I wonder about his mental state. Why isn't he DCing again by now...

I made mention during the season that he didn’t look right. Like his skin was almost transparent. I got bitched at by a couple MSU fans thinking I was just trying to talk shite or something. By the end of the season you could tell something was wrong.
