There is no national Championship game though… just like we don’t say the nuggets won the NBA Championship game or [insert MLB team] won the MLB championship game …
LSU are National Champions but not because they won a game…they are National Champions because they won the series 2-1

They are National Champions because they beat every team they needed to, regardless of how many times they needed to beat them. Period.
