Never seen an athlete give interview quite like Mendoza

I can't remember seeing another interview with an athlete quite like this. It's almost as if they are interviewing Fernando Mendoza's press secretary and not Fernando Mendoza. Seems like he's doing a poor job of reading from a rehearsed stript. The closest thing I can think of is Alex Rodriguez earlier in his career when ARod was a complete screwball.

Mendoza is a helluva player and seems like a good dude, but there's a difference between being professional in interviews and whatever the frick this is...
