Is he back in the running?

Not only no, but frick no. He's not remotely close, nor should he be. He's has not put up Heisman numbers.

What other quarterbacks in SEC history have thrown for over 3000 yards in three seasons?

Not a career achievement record and Manziel has over 3400 yards passing AND 1342 yards rushing. Murray is not even in the same universe statistically.

quote:

As a junior, he's already tied Peyton's career record for TD passes. He's busted all of Stafford's school records.

Again. Not a career achievement award.

Yep, perfect synopsis of Georgia's soft schedule this year. Zack Mettenberger would have Murray's numbers or close with that schedule.

As it turns out, Mett's inferiority was discovered in Spring scrimmage in Athens on the 2nd team vs the 2nd team, while Murray was 1st team vs 1st team. Then again when Richt threw him off the team before he was even actually convicted of anything, something Richt didn't do with the other thugs who showed real potential during that time period.

In other words, Richt had a problem with thugs being thugs, when they had talent. He didn't let Mett have a second chance. The writing was on the wall, he didn't need Mett.

And Mett's mommy is still an employee at UGA Athletic Department.

Don't ever bring up Mett again unless you want me to get detailed.

So Manziel has 3400, Murray has 3200.

Manziel has 24 TD's, Murray has 30.

Manziel has 8 interceptions, Murray has 7.

Manziel rating 155.9, Murray is 177.1

Manziel led his team to a big win in T-Town to gain national notoriety.

Murray led his team to national glory, if beating Bama is in the cards... we are talking national championship.

Manziel is a great runner. If he can improve his passing stats, he'll be a great quarterback.

The only way Murray would win it is that he would have to play very good and beat alabama and the voters would have to be super gay and not give it to Johhny football becasue he is a freshman like they did to herschel. I dont care about the heisman as long as we beat bama

I remember when they jipped Rex Grossman because he was a sophomore, but was clearly the best player that year, and he ended up never getting it.

I see Notre Dame's qb in there at #63, but what is actually surprising is Connor Shaw at #14.

3rd best SEC qb by rating.

And Clampsin got beat by the backup. Great link

You're an idiot.

Murray would have to have the best game of his career in a win vs. Bama to be close to consideration.

Johnny football will get screwed if he doesn't win. It still annoys me that Herschel didn't win his freshman year cuz he was a freshman. Manzel deserves it
