Thanks, awesome. So now my next question is, if I may ...

How does Kelly rate so high given he will be in his first year taking Jones' place at center?

Looks like the SEC is going to be stacked at TE this year.

I would go with the Heisman Trophy Winner and SEC Male Athlete Of The Year at the QB position.

Mainzel ... we'll see. He's still just a rising sophomore with a ton of troubles in his head.

What was your criteria. Something along the lines of most important to his team...

Apparently without Manziel we lose at least 4 games and get demolished by Bama (might anyway) and embarrassed by LSU.

If that doesnt make him the most important player to his team I dont know what does.

IMHO, and again this is simply MHO, Mainzel's contributions to his team have now been outweighed by his distractions. He's become more of a liability than an asset ... and a liability on several levels.

QB - Connor Shaw (IMHO only McCarron might be better overall in terms of what he means to his team.)

There is so much fail in this I don't know where to begin.

And what happens when he beats the hell outta Alabama for two years in a row?

Based on what? How many games has he lost this offseason. If anything he is playing with a huge chip on his shoulder. I would be happy to entertain that claim if he had taken the field and looked like crap. But you cant possibly say his distractions have affected his on the field production. And isnt that what your thread is about. On the field production.

I do support your wishing thinking though.

On the field production as projected for THIS coming football season.

Mainzel is not even going to play this season the way it looks at the moment. Therefore, he'll chalk-up a goose-egg for numbers IMHO.

But we can sure bookmark this thread and revisit it later in the season.

This is not a JFF thread though.

Ain't gonna happen. Ain't gonna happen. No way, no how. Ain't gonna happen.

First of all, he has to actually take the field in order to receive credit for beating Bama a second time.

Secondly, if he is on the field when the game rolls (pun intended) around - Bama will get some payback.

FIFY... any thread that starts with Connor Shaw being the best QB in the SEC isnt a thread.

Hell I would be willing to go out on a limb and say its possible for Driskel to have a better year than Shaw.
