I don't really get bothered by opposing fan bases, whether I'm attending games in Fayetteville or I'm at an away game. Most people are there to root for their team and nothing more. Once in a while, you get a few drunk rednecks that like to heckle you for wearing opposing team apparel, but that's easy to get over.
What cracks me up are all of the "toothless redneck" jokes that SEC teams like to slap on each other. It's something we all have to come to terms with in our lifetimes - If your team is in the South Eastern Conference, then your fan base is comprised mostly of rednecks and/or rednecks in denial. This is true from Arkansas all the way to Florida.
So maybe I find the most obnoxious fan bases to be the ones who are telling the most redneck jokes that week.

It happens. I've been to Ole Miss probably more than I should have. One egg bowl got pretty ugly for me in oxford. People in their mid forties yelling at me. I was in a state shirt with a chick from Ole Miss. But that one time was pretty much the only one.

Of the Schools I've been to as an opposing fan.
1. Alabama - During Fulmer Era it was really bad
2. Kentucky - May not be towards other fans, but they hate UT for some reason
3. Georgia - The barking is extremely obnoxious
4. Ole Miss - the pretentiousness is obnoxious
5. Mississipi State - The fans are nice but the cowbells give me a head ache
6. Florida - Really are a nice crowd have had good experiences in Gainesville
7. South Carolina - Nicest fans ever, they will give you free food and liqour on the spot
Even though hands down number 1 most obnoxious fanbase is the University of Memphis.

I realize a few bad apples can give someone a bad perception about an entire fanbase, which isn't fair, but UGA fans have really shown their arse when iv'e been around them. In 2006 when UGA came to Oxford there were more assholes in red and black walking around the grove talking shite than I could believe. And hell, UGA was down that year.
One of my best friends got crow-hopped by a UGA fan while pissing at a urinal in the stadium. Numerous other people I know, who never start shite, got into fights with UGA fans who were walking around the grove literally picking fights like 5th graders at recess.
In 2007, I went to Athens and had a great time in Athens and whatnot but there were still those cocky loudmouths everywhere. I have several friends who go to UGA and even a few who were born in and around Athens so I don't necessarily hate Georgia but I have been disappointed in the way some of their fans acted.
FWIW I don't have a problem with any of the UGA posters on this board though.
