Well for starters, it isn't some dumbass border war, its a State thing that yous guys wouldn't really get.
Anyways, Clemson University was formed from a faction who wanted their own agriculture school away from what they thought was the elite arrogance of the University of South Carolina. Ben Tillman, a leader of this movement, wanted it to be privately controlled to prevent any "possible invasion by the negroes".
The USC/CU rivalry is the third longest uninterrupted rivalry in the nation, and longest in the South. There have been multiple on field brawls with the most recent being a bench clearing brawl at CU in 04. The women's basketball teams even got in a fight this past year.
Bayonets have been drawn after a loss and the National Guard had to be called.

It took longer than I thought for that bowl game to pop up. We will own the series record in 3 years.

It's kinda sad you're state can only support one big time program. Most heated rivalries are in state. A few exceptions such as Ohio St./Mich, UT/OU, and Notre Dame/Southern Cal.

Being the KSU of the SEC is better than being the Mizzou of the big 12. This is big boy country now and you're players will be eating dirt for the next 2 decades. Be glad you're coming in when UF and UT are down.

Nope. We went 10-12 in our first 22 SEC games. I knew you Missouri folk didn't know anything.

We'll see. Both teams have greatly improved since 2005. Be careful underestimating us or we'll embarrass y'all again this year like we did in 05.
