Mike Leach is a "Mormon" I believe which is a main reason Auburn didn't hire him in 08 like all signs pointed to "Everybody was expecting us to hire Leach to replace Tubbs and then his religious views came out and folks were like "nah uh" we don't want that here! but i'll say this hell I don't care if the guy professes to be a hindu/atheist/muslim/Christian all rolled into one if hes a winner the fact that some want a Football HC to be a "Hell fire, snorting, smokin, spittin man" when it comes to religion is ridiculous I realize religion is very important down here in the south . but when it comes to "Football you are paid to win, not quote scriptures!"
im not defending Mormons im a Southern Baptist. but refusing to hire a guy because of his religious views is dumb and fwiw I have no proff as to that being the reason for us not hiring Leach in 08, im just going by what I read on Auburn boards at the time where a lot of folks were saying they didn't want a "Mormon" being the next HC

Mike Leach is a weirdo, but for this alone, he is a national treasure.
I was generally neutral toward Tennessee and leaned more toward the like category because I have two really good friends who are lifelong Vol fans. But Tennessee got what it deserved when it let that fat frick Fulmer back into a role with even the slightest bit of influence.
