lowly Arkansas program you speak of.

I never said this.
I said Ole Miss has more potential. Arkansas is obviously the better program.

Again, they are no longer in SEC, we are discussing current SEC coaches.

See where I included Petrino/Kiffin which is where the argument started. There was no Tuberville/Fulmer.

You said he was not mediocre and a good coach. I stated that taking the coaches over the last several years he is not. He is still no better than 6 and thats basically by default. I was making the case he does not belong in the list of the other great coaches in the SEC. Petrino actually has more of a case than Nutt IMO.

I would guess there is not a coach with his tenure in recent memory with such low return in the SEC.

OK so lets go by past 4 years when Les/Meyer entered SEC.

Tuberville 34- 12
Nutt 31-20
Fulmer 29-21
Meyer 45-9
Saban 41-12
Miles 42-11
Spurrier 28-22
Johnson 21-27
Croom 18-30
Richt 40-12

Doesn't look like 8th best to me

You forgot Richt, but it doesn't matter because there is no hope for you. I didn't think anyone would have to debate the fact that Fulmer and Spurrier are better coaches than Nutt.

Still even include Richt over last 4 years Nutt was obviously better than Fulmer, he would have been 5th best.

Your hate for a man who has owned LSU past few seasons is absurb. Plus you could debate over the past 4 years they lost and they are shells of their former selves. So therefore Nutt would have passed them since they decline and he improves.

I would hate to see if you were a Florida State/Penn State fan what you would have done during their lean years.

I don't hate him. I just don't see why Ole Miss fans think he is this bad arse coach. IMO and I am sure Arkansas fans would agree they fricked up in not firing him a long time ago. I don't see why an Ole Miss fan is excited about him being the coach. Last year success is basically the best he has ever done as a coach. He has had 1 ten win season and he had probably one of the best backfields ever in the SEC.

Yes that is 44 wins. 13+ 13 + 9 + 9 = 44.

Or 26
plus 18

He coached like 16 years at Tennessee. If you are going to win at that level you have to be able to surround yourself with good coaches. To be successful at UT you also have to be a good recruiter. So for him to coach that long and be that successful he has to be a damn good coach.

W's and L's speak for themselves over that long a tenure.

And over the last 4 years he has dropped to bottom tier of SEC coaches and thats why he is no longer the coach at UT.

I really don't understand the point of that comment. I was making the point it is impossible for a shitty coach to be successful over such a long period of time.

Well said. Well said.

Now watch out, wildrebel will give you hell for this statement since Hooties is afterall, "THE BEST COACH IN THE SEC!"
