Oh yeah, the national championship game between Florida State and Nebraska.
Know what didn’t happen then? Notre Dame weren’t pussies and went and played in the Cotton Bowl. They were men and went and played hard instead of whining and quit.

Notre Dame has a 7-5 record against the SEC in post-season games. During the past 15 games, its record is 9-6 in the regular season. Of the six losses, two was by a point and one by 5pts. The three other losses were against SEC teams that eventually won the Natty that year. The SEC teams would not dominate ND any more than they have TX or OU.
