The point on Kingsbury is he should be able to relate with Manziel. He was the BMOC at Tech and isn't that much older but he knew how to keep his stuff together and stay out of trouble. He also parlayed it into an NFL career and now being a fast rising coach. Maybe that works, maybe it doesn't but it certainly sounds promising.
I guess, but Cam Newton was BMOC at Auburn, never got in trouble after Florida, and parlayed that in to an NFL career. Does that make Cam a good mentor?
My point is you're grasping at straws. Especially with the 33 and still being single thing. That sounds like TexAgs group think. Throwing every bit of knowledge at something and forming a pre-determined conclusion.
Not sure why you keep bringing up Texags, haven't seen anything there about this theory but then I don't spend all my time there.
Cam Newton? Seriously? Cam Newton isn't exactly a rocket scientist and he is a guy that bounced from school to school making it on his unreal talent. Great player but it's all just physical ability.
KK was a highly intelligent but cocky QB that went to Tech and made the Air Raid famous under Leach. He was a star but he kept himself grounded and got the most out of what was limited physical talent and turned it into an NFL career and now being a fast rising college coach. Hard to argue the guy hasn't had a highly successful life. He was also from New Braunfels which is another Hill Country town outside of San Antonio just like Kerrville. He's got a lot in common with Manziel and thus should logically be able to relate with him. Maybe not though. In the end JFF has to relate with himself.

I'm thinking its pretty cool to be KK. Probably has a mil or two in the bank, coaches football for his job, and has pick of the ladies wherever hes at. I still think I have better hair though.
