I think Alabama fans overrated Burton in their minds in the preseason. They believed he was the next A. Cooper or Jamis Williamson.
They refused to listen to the real experts with true football knowledge saying Burton is not a perimeter receiver. He’s a possession receiver.
So Bama has Burton- possession receiver, Holden-possession receiver, Brooks-perimeter receiver but def not #1 receiver with 4.6/4.7 speed. The only receiver on the roster that might turn out to be great on the perimeter is Bond. The rest of the guys I didn’t mention are little small slot receiver types.

Kirby has a huge ability to find overlooked talent and coach it up. Ladd, Jordan Davis and Stetson are proof of that.
