Makers is cheaper than crown, and to me crown is crap.

Crown is overpriced and fricking disgusting.

My point is you can't say bourbon is different or better than jack. It's not. They are all sour mash whiskeys. Some are better than others, some are liked better because of different tastes. But you can't say kentucky bourbon is better than tennessee whiskey based only on a 100 miles or so of separation of where it is made.

No, but one can can say that Makers tastes a hell of a lot better than a similarly priced Jack.

Nah.
I know my booze.
I wont drink Jack straight. Makers is the lowest Bourbon that I'll drink straight.

Ehhh it's a taste thing to me. Maker's and Jack are probably my two favorite. Maker's is smoother, but jack has that certain falvor and bite I love. It's like red vs white wine. White is smoother, but red has a punch to it. I like them both.

I don't like anything too smooth. The burn is part of the experience and flavor to me.

Not really dry white wines.

Anyone know the difference in white and red wine? Other than the color what makes one white and one red?

I prefer Malbecs, Merlots, and Cabs.

I like reds more too. Cause they have more of a bite, like jack vs makers.

Tannins. And the grapes used to make said wines.

Yeah pretty much. The stems and peels are left in when making reds. I used to always think it was red grapes vs white grapes. And if you ever make your own wine be sure to Buy a kit with wood chips. If not, it doesn't taste like wine. It's amazing how much flavor comes from wood in wine and whiskey making. Rum too.

I've been to many wineries.
And Bourbon distilleries.
And Craft Beer Breweries.

I've never been to a winery. And haven't went to a distillery or brewery other than jack since I turned 21. And jack can't serve samples cause it's a dry county. I.e. I never got a free sample.

You are not the be all end all.

It is certainly debatable, as evidenced by the last few posts
