(Not sure why we still do bowl games.)

1. Schools make money.
2. Fans & players enjoy a winter vacation.
3. Teams oftentimes play schools they rarely see from varying conferences.
4. Teams are still trying to end the season in the Top 20-25.
5. Schools make money.

(So your contention is the non-CFP bowls have a point now?)

I don't know...I couldn't attend, but had about 20 folks over to watch Missouri beat Ohio State last year. We had a lot of fun watching this and I think a lot of SEC schools enjoyed watching us beat the Buckeyes.

Sports are entertainment and although meaningless (by some definitions), we were certainly entertained!
