You realize the Spartans got the short end of the deal, right? Does that mean Yancy and the Spirit board are the Oracles?

No they didn't. Do you even read anything history related or do you just go watch movies.

Hell...did you even stay to the end of that movie?

Perhaps the Spartans that day lost the battle of Thermopylae, but the Greeks defeated the persians in the Greco-Persian war. Furthermore, the Delian Leauge, a loose confederation of Greek city states, was formed as a result of the war, resulting in a unified and more peaceful Greece.

READ A BOOK.

I know the Spartans were decimated at the Battle of Thermophyle by Xercses but much later in the war were able to band numerous nations together to beat back the Muslim Horde. You were the one that enlisted 300 as an example.

You do realize that the entire Spartan population wasn't at Thermopylae, right?

I heard that one of the agenda items for Ole Miss' big recruiting weekend is going to be a rock, paper, scissors competition for schollies. The losers get grey shirts

of course they weren't, to bring the entire army would have been a act of war against Xercses. King Leonidas chose a select few, the number 300 has never been confirmed but has been historically used to prove the addage of what a few could do against many. The number has been more closely theorized as being between 700 - 1000.

ok....but that completely contradicts you saying the Spartans were whipped out. They weren't....just those select few.

That's not a countdown clock. Do you know what copy means?

They both serve the same purpose.

Countdown Clock
- To remind State about a game with Ole Miss year round.

Bulletin Board- To remind Ole Miss about a game with State year round.

To answer your question a bulletin board is not nearly as annoying as a countdown clock for the egg bowl. That is just stupid. A countdown clock for the first game or next game is a little different. Whey doesn't State have a countdown clock for the SEC championship game? Or is the Egg bowl all yall really care about?
