Uh, because this isn't the same as firing the night manager at Taco Bell for not restocking the hot sauce.

I think the NCAA wants Auburn to finish 13-0 before making a ruling here. Denying unbeaten Auburn a shot at the national title is one of college football's funniest traditions.
CHA CHING, WE GOT A WINNER

Dude tell me you've not pinned your hopes for Atlanta on a speedy ruling that you'd favor by the NCAA
Aubbie has to go to Atlanta now. Its yet another chapter in the whole story. Cam has to go to NY for the Heisman ceremony, it's another chapter too.
So you got SEC CG, Hesiman weekend and MNC game to go. Then after that, the truth is published and everything is stripped from Aubbie and then the Loveliest Village on the Plains will be destroyed just like Sodom and Gomorrah. Those honest War Eagles, who look back, will be turned to stone.

Eh, I wouldn't expect anything before the end of the season unless the smoking gun hits the media. Once the media gets on something this big (potentially) the NCAA will delay a few days but the presure will mount to cause action. Thats the only way it could happen fast. Right now, the media has reports from sources, but once a real undeniable concrete fact comes out and if before season end then something will happen. The NCAA will be thinking about their $$$ at that point.

What the hell is taking so long?
Part of the issue might be that the rules don't specific mention solicitation by family members of the athlete. Not sure how they will interpret an apparent violation of the spirit of the rules but I'm pretty sure they will be scrambling to amend the rules to include solicitation by any representative of the athlete including family members.

Buck Sweep, you are correct.. Nobody even caught your comment nor realized the magnitude of what one of their own said.. Now that is funny stuff..
They are so blinded by what they have come to believe that they cant see the truth has been staring them in the face all along, but unwilling to see it.. Now that is some funny shite.. and what is funnier, they wont even understand the 2nd comment made about it now..

that is all bullshite. It's the internet age, nothing should take near as long as it used to. You have family members, coaches, boosters, tapes, recordings, cheating, theivery, on and on.
MORE then enough to say eh, he is not eligible, apply for reinstatement.
It's more likely that the whole newton case has turned political, and i am not talking about anything the fbi is investigating.
