Hocker has been solid all season and this was a chip shot for him. I had no problem with the playcalling strategy there especially considering Knile had fumblitis and Mallett's penchant for forcing throws uneccessarily.

Regulation play was not that conservative. Davis had the hot hand and was gashing the Miss St. Defense.

Our receivers couldn't get off the line consistently.

Davis doesn't fumble, we punt it down inside the 20. Miss St doesn't have the quick strike ability to get it down the field with the amount of time left.

This. State had no timeouts left. It was perfect play calling. He didn't expect Davis to fumble.
