I'm probably one of few people that feel this way here, but I hope Boise kicks the ever living shite out of UGA

Not really. It's hard even for an SEC team to do that.

-01 UT would have with a loss if they beat LSU
-02 UGA would have with a loss if OSU didn't keep getting lucky
-03 LSU did
-06 UF did
-07 LSU did with 2 losses
-08 UF did

The SEC is strong enough that you can get in with a loss. My whole point was that if Boise had an SEC schedule they would have 3-5 losses every year which would render that point moot anyway.

you don't get it do you? It's all about SOS. You guys don't play anyone.
You're embarrassing yourself. And I'm an LSU fan btw.

Here's a true/false test for you:

1. In 2006, Boise State was better than Oregon State, who placed 3rd in the Pac-10.
2. In 2006, Boise State was better than Big 12 champ Oklahoma.
3. In 2008, Boise State was better than Oregon, who placed 2nd in the Pac-10.
4. In 2009, Boise State was better than Pac-10 champ Oregon.
5. In 2009, Boise State was better than MWC champ TCU.
6. In 2009, Boise State was better than ACC champ Virginia Tech.
7. In 2009, Boise State was better than Oregon State, who placed 5th in the Pac-10.

hell no. Better on that day maybe but 8/10 times Boise loses some of those games.
I know for a fact that 7/8 times Boise wins those games.

Boise is a good football team and you'll never hear me argue otherwise. However, they are absolutely NOT a great team or an elite team or deserving of a national title until they actually play more than 2 hard teams in a year.

this
Nah. They're elite. They've proven it on the field time and time again. You guys just don't like it.

What he means is that he hopes that BSU scores a lot more points than UGA does.

based on what? We've already gone over it. They're not tested. They're not a top team.

They get up and play well once or twice a year and enjoy playing in the Mountain West. (one of the worst conferences)

If they played in a tougher conference they wouldn't nearly win as much as they do.

I appreciate well-coached and fundamentally sound football. That is what Boise brings to the table. I actually hope Boise pulls it out in a close game.

Against 1 or 2 teams with a pulse plus a random smattering of high schools. Color me unimpressed.

The vast majority of sportswriters and football coaches in the country agree with me, and come December, so will all six BCS computers. What do you know that they don't?

And I see that my true/false quiz stumped you. Not surprised. Here's the answer key:

1. In 2006, Boise State was better than Oregon State, who placed 3rd in the Pac-10. TRUE
2. In 2006, Boise State was better than Big 12 champ Oklahoma. TRUE
3. In 2008, Boise State was better than Oregon, who placed 2nd in the Pac-10. TRUE
4. In 2009, Boise State was better than Pac-10 champ Oregon. TRUE
5. In 2009, Boise State was better than MWC champ TCU. TRUE
6. In 2009, Boise State was better than ACC champ Virginia Tech. TRUE
7. In 2009, Boise State was better than Oregon State, who placed 5th in the Pac-10. TRUE

Whether you like it or not, they have proven on the field that they are elite. You have no say in the matter. Don't be left behind. Just let it go and accept the truth.

It isn't their job to play in a conference that you approve.

Like Nevada.

Oh wait, they're not elite and they didn't win.

once or twice a year.

Now let's look at what games they did lose:

This will be fun-

'10- Nevada

'08- TCU

'07- Washington , Hawaii , E. Carolina

Seven out of eight times, to be fair. They shat the bed against a shitty Washington team in 2007.

But yes, if they weren't elite, they would lose more often to the elite. Every time they play a 10-win BCS team, they win. If BSU wasn't one of the big boys, one of the big boys would be able to prove it.

then it isn't our jobs to think they deserve to be a top 10 team as a result.

Sportswriters have been sucking off Boise forever.

you keep dodging the fact that Boise only play 1 or 2 good teams a year.

In 2008, ole miss was better than Florida - TRUE
In 2001, Georgia was better than Tennessee- TRUE
In 2006, Georgia was better than Auburn- TRUE
In 2007, carolina was better than Georgia- TRUE

You realize that by beating the only 2 or so good teams on the schedule does NOT make a team elite right?

Oh, and I like how you threw this in there:

quote:

Oregon state, who placed 5th in the pac 10

That's middle of the pack dude. That's like crowing that somebody in the SEC beats mississippi state or something.

you don't get it. The reason they can win is because they don't play anyone on a consistent basis like the big boy schools.
